Calhoun County Courthouse Renovation and New Adult Detention
Center
SpawMaxwell Company provided CM Advisor services to
Calhoun County regarding a public bond program to renovate
an existing 37,600 SF county courthouse and construct
a new 39,200 SF 144-bed county adult detention center.
Both projects were undertaken simultaneously and SpawMaxwell
managed the separate design and construction teams for
each project. During the four year program, SpawMaxwell
provided a multitude of services including facility assessments,
environmental assessment & abatement, insurance claim
coordination, cost reviews, design reviews, procurement
management, construction administration, relocation management,
FF&E coordination, technology upgrade coordination
and facility turn-over and commissioning.
