Stepping Stone
School XV & XVI
The Stepping Stone Schools XV & XVI are both single story, 14,000 SF structures.
Stepping Stone XV opened in 2007 and Stepping Stone XVI opened in 2008. Stepping
Stone Schools deliver state-of-the art childcare to Central Texas businesses
with exclusive contracts at some of the areas top employers. Stepping XV features
the use of roof top HVAC units allowing for fl flexibility in regulating interior
temperatures. The buildings feature color coded gathering areas that correspond
to the different age groups represented at the school. The color coding allows
for way finding within the school. Use of carpet with low VOC rating provides
for easy maintenance and replacement due to staining. The building’s landscape
is based on Xeriscape principles to reduce water usage.
