Safety Program.
- Our written Safety program addresses
all relevant regulatory issues as it pertains to the scope of work at our jobsites.
- Random site audits are conducted regularly based on the
scope of work and job duration.
- Our written “Safety Request System” is a “ticket” system
that documents the ongoing implementation of safety in
the field for both SpawMaxwell employees and trade partners.
The system recognizes compliance, and documents the
mitigation of non-compliance issues with
escalating consequences relative to the safety violations.
- Safety training is conducted on-site weekly with mandatory monthly safety
leadership training meetings for top
line management and project management personnel as
well as additional mandatory safety training.
- Mandatory Safety training includes:
First Aid & CPR;
OSHA 30-Hour Course; Fall
Protection; Trench/Excavation; Scaffolding and Storm
Water Abatement
- Pre-job and ongoing hazard analyses are conducted and
documented on site. Recommendations that address on-site
hazards are distributed immediately to the project team.
- Our Critical Task Observation
Program requires that extremely hazardous, non-routine
tasks are addressed on site by the project and safety management
team.
- Statistical analyses of our Safety
programs are generated monthly to determine trends,
compliance and to focus Safety training.
- We thoroughly investigate all accidents, injuries, near
misses and third party incidents. Preventative and corrective
measures are developed as a result and used to address
all safety-related issues throughout the company.
- By
taking a team approach to Safety to resolve issues,
and by
searching for new ways to continuously improve Safety and
Health of our employees and trade partners, we honor our
philosophy of "People First" by providing a safe work
place for our people.
