Prior to 1998, both David Spaw Company and Maxwell Company Construction were known in Houston as interior renovation and finish specialists. Spaw specialized in commercial work. Maxwell delivered both commercial and health care projects. Together, SpawMaxwell has set the standard for interior construction in multiple practice areas in Austin, Dallas and Houston. By continuing to focus on interiors, SpawMaxwell is able to satisfy an emerging niche not many general contractors can fill effectively: Collaboration on site with a base building general contractor.
